Health Service Charge ILR/Settlement dependent

Post by tt3225 » Tue Mar 08, 2016 8:43 pm

I need to apply for my wife and kids as Settlement dependent from India. I am currently in UK and have ILR which is valid till 2025. There is health service fees calculator provide by UKVI and it is showing GBP 1800 each for applicants. I believe they will initially give visa for 33 months and in that case the health service charge should not be more than GBP 300. I have contacted them and they says you need to pay whatever it is showing and if you are getting less period visa, remaining amount will be refunded within 90 days. I have 3 dependants and it will be huge amount for me including visa fees and health service charge. Each applicant will case GBP 2995(1195+1800). Anybody recently made ILR dependent application outside UK. Can you advice if there is anyway to pay correct health service fee?

The health surcharge is £600 per person applying (not sure why you think it is £300).

DO NOT put your details into the form. Your dependents are applying alone, leave your details out completely.

Thanks for the replies. I am sure I have selected correct options. It says you should enter main applicant's (or person having ILR) details if you are applying as joining family in UK. It calculates 1800 once you enter ILR expiry date. But if you are not entering it shows 600 only. Can I safely ignore joining family in uk option? Next page it asks confirmation again whether details are correct or not. Just worried what to enter :(
