Visitor Visa Documentation

Hello,

Me and my girlfriend are currently in the process of submitting an application for a Visitor VISA.

She is American, looking to come to the UK for 4 months in Summer. She recently started a job as a substitute teacher, and as such when the kids are on holiday so will she be.

She booked a return flight.

I am sponsoring her (financially), the documentation I am providing is:

1) Sponsorship Declaration (and cover letter).
2) Gas, Electricity and Water bills as proof of address.
3) Certified copy of my passport.
4) 6 Payslips (Showing salary > £45,000).

During the last two months I have been in the process of consolidating my savings (running them through my current account (purchase of property). As a result my current account shows substantial money going through it. Should I provide bank statements highlighting my pay or would the substantial money going through my account cause issues/questions/red flags?.

Any additional recommendations/tips/advice would be greatly appreciated.

And what documents are your fiance submitting to prove her ties to the USA (family, work, income, etc)?

Any why does she need to apply for a visit visa being a US citizens? Adverse immigration history?

Some of the documentation that she will be providing is:

- She has a large family wedding to attend in September (a few days after her return) she will include a confirmation response to this.
- She is staying until September as a result of her graduation from UCL which is in September.
- She has fairly recently become a substitute teacher (Paid for the training and what not) so I was thinking she should include the fact she had paid for this and is kind of pointless if she wasn't going back?.
- Alongside this she has subbed for a couple of teachers regularly, so a letter from those confirming how they look forward to her return after the summer holidays.
- Receipt of her return flight.

Any other suggestions?

She doesn't have to apply. And no she has no adverse immigration history. We are applying for the VISA to ensure no issues. Last thing we want is for her to travel to the UK and get refused entry. I am actually heading to her in May for almost 2 weeks her flight to the UK is the same return flight as mine.

She has been here a few times (including studying for a year here) and never has overstayed.

You do realise that she does risk a refusal due to your status in the UK and being your fiance.

What about her proof of income and funds, savings, bank statements, property documents.

If you search the forum you will see the points that people get refused on mostly.

Visitor visas are really scrutinised. Many Americans take chances and stay longer than allowed, so be mindful of that.

If she's not made long frequent visits I'd go with the visa waiver though 4 months might be a bit of risk, waiver or formal application.

Yeah I remember watching UK Border Force on Sky ages ago and one US fiancee arrived on waiver, was stopped and they found wedding plans etc in her baggage, bounced next day.....

And things are much tougher now.

Does she need to include Bank statements if I am financially supporting her?
In terms of family what can she provide? she currently lives her mum and dad.
With regards to Income, she has very recently started and will be getting her first pay cheque next week.

Could it be beneficial to book the accommodation and vehicle hire now for family wedding?
