South American staying longer than 90 days within last year

Post by Stanic » Fri Mar 11, 2016 11:43 am

My South American mother in law is keen to visit to help my wife after the birth of our child in the near future.

She visited last year for 60 days. She hasn't needed a visa before and I know she can stay 90 days within the last 365 days, but if she were to stay so that the time exceeded the 90 days, is there a way she can extend to more than 90 days?

I know going to south America I can extend my 90 days to 180 at a police station but not sure the process for Ireland, if anyone can direct me? Unfortunately the helplines are suspended.

What South American passport does your mother exactly hold?
