Tier 1 bank balance dropped

Post by m07un10r » Thu Mar 17, 2016 11:06 pm

Hi every one,
Actually my Tier1 entrepreneur visa is expiring on 30April 2016 and i have maintained my required maintaince funds of £950 pounds since 15Jan2016 but on 29Feb 2016 i made a mistake and i made a payment of £600 from the same account and my balance went low to £200 but i realised at the same time and i deposited £1000 cash on the same date 29Feb 2016 but when i received my statement i can see the balance has been dropped after transaction but the closing balance of the day is £1300 but my solicitor says statement continuity has been broken now there is 50% chance you may get a visa because it depends on the case worker.......my concern is that if the opening and closing balance of the day was above £950 why should they don't accept it......can some one share the experience please

The balance needs to be maintained throughout the period. From Appendix C 1B(a)(iii)
The account have been at the required level throughout the specified period

Your solicitor is wrong. If closing balance was above the maintenance requirement then you don't need to worry. They only refuse if balance drops on closing balance. Hope you will understand. Ask a professional solicitor if you want to confirm.
Thanks

so you mean to say continuity has been broken even the closing balance is above the required amount?
THEY could refuse it on this base?

If you are in doubt then take a letter from concern bank showing minimm level of funds maintained throughout the 90 days period.

I think if in anyway your statement shows that you withdrawn 600 first and then you deposited 1000 its problem and the other way around is fine including your end day balance is equal/above minimum required.

The immigration rules do not specify the daily closing balance as the measure. It simply says the balance must have been maintained. You really need to ask HO to confirm

your balance should not be less then £945 for the past 90 days. don't take risk, request your bank manager to sort out the issue, He / She will be able to sort this out. explain your problem, hopefully bank can look after you.
