Visa application Information needed!! Urgent please.

Post by hkkhanus » Fri Dec 14, 2007 12:22 pm

Please the senior members help me get to the rite path.
Actually i have been confused by two different statements here.
i am about to apply for a family Visa.
The Lady who i spoke on the phone from the home office, she said you can apply through the form called EEA2. and she also said there is another form FMRS.
i have stick both of them on my desk but em completely confused which one i need to apply.
I am Pakistani national, my wife is Czech National, and i am married 6 months. My status here in the U.K is as a student.
Can someone help me get out of this confusion please?
Thanks
Regards
Khan

I think it depends on the status of your wife, whether she is working, registered under the Worker Registration Scheme, etc.

Non-EEA family members of A8 workers can apply for a family member residence stamp confirming that they have a right of residence in the UK under the 2006 Regulations. Applications should be made on form FMRS.

Victoria
yes i have read it indeed. But still i didn't find anything saying like, should apply for FMRS. In what case? if she is registered for WRS or if she is not?
Sorry to make the question a bit more simple...

my wife is not WRS registered anymore. Do i need to apply through FMRS OR EEA2 or some other form for the family residence Visa.
Hope this would help.
Thanks

Sorry... can you please read it again?
I asked there are two different forms.
i.e one is used when she is not registered for WRS.
and the other one is in the case if she is registered.
which can be used for this purpose.

I am a bit Disapointed but still :) Thanks very much for your assistance. I have just called up the Immigration office and got the right guidlines.

And a Little bit for your information aswell. if somebody ask the same question and you would like to help him/her, please remember.

1. FMRS is the form which is used... when the EU national partner of a non EU citizen NOT REGISTERED for WRS

and

2. EEA2 Form is used When the EU National is registered with WRS and working for atleast 12 months.

Thanks
Best of luck
Kind Regards
