ILR Requirments

Post by momer79 » Wed Dec 19, 2007 3:46 pm

Hi,

My ILR is due in Oct 2008 (my wife is British National) but i am trying to figure out all require documents. I have gone through HO website.

I work full time and earning 19k pa, my wife is not working. We have few documents with both our indvidual names on them like Electric and water Bill, joint bank statement. We have alot of documents with either my or my wife's name but all of them have same address.

1. Do we have to show documents with both our names on them or seprate letters/documents with either my or my wife's name and same address will be okay?

2. My wife claims DLA and CB, will that be alright for my ILR (my wife is British National)

3. We have joint saving account but we mostly use the saving account which is only on my wife's name and our all savings are in that account.

Do we have to put our savings in joint account and show joint account statement in HO or it doesn't matter?

4. My ILR is due in Oct 2008 and my passport will be finished in March 2009, should i renew my passport before applying ILR? ( i am not sure if i can renew my passport before few months of expiry date)

Thanks

As many as possible should be addressed jointly in both your names. If you do not have enough items in your joint names, you may provide items addressed to each of you individually if they show the same address and you provide roughly the same number for each of you.
