Top urgent!!!!!! SOS....

Rejection of my HSMP application---how to continue....

hello everyone on workpermit.com, I think everybody is holding a beautiful hope toward UK when applying for HSMP, unfortunately, my application started with a good sign, but ended disappointedly......

I called this application "mission impossible", because it is restrained by several factors, here is my story:

I know this program only at the beginning of this Nov. As soon as I evaluated myself, I set out to prepare for it, because I believe I am qualified, objectively. There was only one thing not ready for me: IELTS.
Thanks to God, I took the exam on Nov. 24 in london, and my english is not bad, so it should be ok. After that, I returned China, to prepare the other materials: Previous earnings--30, age--20(before my birthday 12/12,I was 27), and degree--30. In sum, I scored 80!

The beginning went through very well, I succeeded in sending my application materials as well as my IELTS report to HSMP office on Dec 5th. After my payment was cleared on Dec. 12th, they opened my case. Who ever knows they made the decision on Dec. 14th by mail to me. I had a very bad feeling, it shouldn't be that short! Finally I got the answer: I failed, due to the following 3 reasons:
1. degree certificate not orignal
2. wage slips are not signed seperately
3. bank statement not translated

My god! the degree certificate was made by my university. Hundreds of thousands of students use it to apply for famous university in US, UK......How could it not be genuine? It is not a photocopy!!!! my university made it in both english and chinese, there is a digital register number on it, for anyone to trace.
I have no idea every wage slip should be signed, but I had it sealed seperately, and my HR manager signed on the income letter!
As for the bank statement, I originally meant to use it as an additional provement. According to the guide, only two evidences should be showed, wage slips and income letter from the employer!! I don't have time to translate it under my circumstances.

I hope my story could be some hint to those who are going to apply. however, is there any good idea for me to continue my review process? As for the age, I can't apply for the second time.

I used to trust UK home office is a good judge for every application from all over the world, how could they treat my application so rashily? Should them call me to ask for additional materials or at least listen to my explanation? I felt they were so cold!!!

helpless sad girl

appeal

Hey,
Looks like your age is not a problem....

The reasons mentioned by you

1. degree certificate not orignal
2. wage slips are not signed seperately
3. bank statement not translated
are not grave...

I suggest you explain about your degree certificate as you did here
It is not a photocopy!!!! my university made it in both english and chinese, there is a digital register number on it, for anyone to trace.
Get your payslips signed and get your bank statement translated...

Dont worry...you'll hear positively this time....

Hi,

Sad to hear about your refusal. But need not be heart-broken. You can apply for a REVIEW of this decision. The following applies to Review Process:

1. You can not send any additional info/documents
2. You can explian why you think its a wrong decision

There are three reason mentioned for your refusal. POLITELY explain each of them appropriately.

For instance about your Degree I think you should write exactly what you have written here and do mention that HO can request a verification in case they doubt the genuineness of the certificate.

For salary slips, you may mention that as these are computer generated salary slip that are printed on Company stationary they are not required to be signed. In fact company as a policy does not sign them.

As far as bank statements are concerned, you may request them to ignore that while making a decision as they are just the additional evidence.

And by the way, you can send you review application through FAX. Need not send another letter/courier for the same.

All the best!

Hi jennixu,

I think you will have to make a fresh application... This application is pretty straight forward if case is simple or else its complex and need to be done carefully..

Translation MUST be done wherever applicable. You cant do away saying
" don't have time to translate it under my circumstances.". If Bank statements are in language other than English, then you should get it translated from authorised body.. at least the salary debit entries.. because in many cases, applications are rejected because company name was not mentioned in debit entries... so be careful...

And dont get disheartened.. There is alwaysa next time.. I know people who prepared for 3-4 months before applying...

Hi Jennifer,

i don't think that Bank statement was a major issue in your case as its a secondary evidence. The case-worker would not even have cared to look at it had your salary slips been considered as primary evidence.

I think your most efficient bet (cost wise) is to draft a proper review letter and apply for a review of the decision. Ofcourse there is no harm in trying this FREE option before betting your GBP 400 again.

All the best!

What a wonderful answer you bring me! Sincerely thanks.

I personally will not be surprised if HO give me the refusal for the review, I am out of luck this time.

I originally think the british people generally are very nice, but maybe I am wrong, HO is not among them.

I am trying to apply for a review now......will update you all.

No doubt there are some shortcomings in your application, thats why it go rejected.HO is not against any particular individual.By reading mails above one can comprehend that there are some short comings in your applications.Try again
Request review first.
