Submitting Original Forms

Post by KodiakSA » Mon Mar 28, 2016 3:41 pm

My wife is applying for a first time passport (born and living in Canada). Dad born in Ireland and an Irish citizen.
The embassy's website states they want ORIGINAL forms. Birth Certificate, Parents Birth Certificate, and they also want the Passport, AND another form of photo identification like driver's license.
Can a certified copy be sent? Surely? They want her to hand in her driver's licence for 5 weeks? I don't get it? Hand in her current passport?

Different procedure applies depending on whether the person is applying from Ireland or overseas.

If any requirements will cause hurdle, you can put that in writing to them.
