Hi,my wife has a temporary EU stamp 4 and we are filling out another form which asks the following question.
Have you ever made an application for refugee status or leave to remain in the State.
Is an application for leave to remain the same as the EU1 application?

Leave to remain/ residence certificate/ stamp4 or similar etc;
Are names for resident visa or legal stay. They mostly mean one and the same however, they may vary with the type of applications within respective EU member state and their local
Residency laws.

Back to your question, "have you ever made an application for
Refugee status..." The answer to this depends on what you had
Applied for in the past.
