Urgent help needed! Should I withdraw FLR(IED)?

Post by Slimould » Thu Dec 02, 2004 1:10 am

Hi Forum Members,

As the FLR(IED) form stated at the time, I only sent in the application to extend 5 weeks (early November) before the HSMP was due to expire (mid December).
I have been fully employed for the entire 11 months and have sent in all the relevant documentation (pay checks, HSMP approval letter, paid bills etc.) and fully expected to get FLR(IED) approval (eventually).

Unexpectedly, now my husband and I must return to Australia by end of December for family/health reasons.

The question is now how best to proceed.

Would even an urgent request be fast enough?
Do we cancel the FLR(IED)? If so, how do we get back into and work in the UK?
Can extension requests be made from Australia, and after the HSMP expiry date?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry about the health situation......

Complete the request for urgent treatment form with EVIDENCE of need to travel - i am sure they will meet your deadline

Received passports with extensions!

It was exactly as the moderator's message suggested.
Supplied valid evidence of the need for accelerated treatement and the passports turned up in the second week of December. That's a 5 week turn around time.

HINT: Use email to communicate to the Home Office. Allow approximately four days turn around time for emails. It seemed much more effective that phones or faxes.
