is there any chance they could only grant me 1 year FLR?

this is important to me because if i were to only get 1 year, i should delay my FLR application as long as possible for the ILR clock to keep ticking. i don't expect i will be eligible to extend my hsmp, as i plan to be unemployed. sssh! ;)

background info: i am currently on a work permit with LLR valid until 23.03.2009

i read in another thread that you can request your entry clearance be post-dated for up to 3 months? does the same apply for FLR(HSMP)? i.e. submit my application now, requesting that my leave to remain begins in march, such that if they only grant me 1 year i will be at 5 years at the end of the year for ILR?

confusing... i know. :)
