Your solicitor was wrong. If you had a Tier 4 visa and applied FLR(O), your existing Tier 4 visa conditions continue until a decision is made on the FLR(O). You will have a problem with citizenship if you get to that stage due to working when you were not permitted to, based on what you have stated.Mannymag2016 wrote:The solicitor I went to put my first FLR[O] before my student visa expired. He said that was the onlyn option I had.
My sollicitor told me I could work under the first FLRO whilst it was processing...

Sounds like you are better off here kuya.Mannymag2016 wrote:Many thanks for your reply
I didn't see you replied
Basically before my student visa run out I went to my sollicitor to ask how can I continue to work in the UK
He then suggested an FLRO was the best route
I am not sure why he advised me to apply for FLRO but I trusted him.
Just to add to ohara's advice, if you find a sponsor, you will have to make the application from your home country as you currently do not have any leave to remain.ohara wrote:Your solicitor appears to have given you bad advice and it would appear that you have been working illegally.
The Home Office publishes a list of all companies who hold Tier 2 and 5 sponsorship licences, you can see here: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... onsors.pdf
There are plenty of care providers in there, and no doubt some which are local to you. If one of them is willing to sponsor you, then you can apply for a Tier 2 visa and work.
Doesn't mean anything really. UKVI will always take the money as they keep it win or lose......Mannymag2016 wrote:Hello everyone
Just to give you another update, I just had a look at my bank account this morning and it looks like the home office have taken my paiement for the FLRO application. Is this good news? Do you know what the waiting times are?

Why so? As much effort goes into a refusal as it does for a grant.Mannymag2016 wrote:Wanderer wrote:Doesn't mean anything really. UKVI will always take the money as they keep it win or lose......Mannymag2016 wrote:Hello everyone

That's is disgusting, Is there any way I could help get my second application for FLRO approved.
Seek a T2 sponsor and apply from home.Mannymag2016 wrote:What do I do now then and how do I go from here?
No you can't because you don't have valid leave to remain. You will have to apply from home country. You could have applied for Tier 2 General (if you met the requirements) before your student visa expired from within the UK though but that boat has passed now.Mannymag2016 wrote:Can I apply for a T2 from the uk?
