Settlement Visa accomodation enquiry

Post by dirtman » Thu Dec 27, 2007 2:40 pm

My wife and i is renting a bedroom from her sister's Husband in there 4 bedroom house.
Would that be considered adequate accomodation and would the tenancy agreement puchased from WH Smith be accepted by the ECO in Barbados during our application for a settlement Visa?

Please note; that the aplication has been submitted already stating who we reside with and rent paid. This is solely to strenghen the supporting document to be produced.

I have concerns, hopefully totally unfounded, that you may not have covered an important aspect of this. OK there is an agreement, about what? How many rooms being rented? In particular, ignoring any Spam, toilet or bathroom, how many rooms exceeding 50 sq ft in size? And was this detail included with the application?

In other words, how did you prove that the accommodation would not be overcrowded if the visa application is granted?

We have a tenancy agreement for one bedroom. Only one bedroom is being rented. ignoring the Spam, bathroom, toilet, there are 2 bedrooms that exceeds 50sq ft and the two other bedrooms are smaller.

I included in the application that it had 4 bedrooms other than the toilet Spam, livingroom and bathroom.

How do i prove the accomodation is not overcrowding.

Can i contact the High Commission and withdraw my application and submit a new one?

Only one bedroom is being rented.
Well no, surely you also have the right to use the toilet facilities? The bathroom? The Spam?

How big is the one bedroom that you mention?
