Salary Negotiation above RLMT Advertised Salary

Post by bholo » Tue Apr 26, 2016 8:03 am

I have got an offer for a job where RLMT has been done.

I like the job and am thinking to accept however not happy with salary and want to negotiate.

However i am not too sure that if i am offered salary above RLMT advertised and apply for visa my visa might be refused.

Can an employer give higher salary that RLMT Upper band to someone when they offer and is it safe to apply for visa with that high salary.

I hope RLMT Will not be void and will not need to be done again.

I see it this way...If the RLMT was done with a higher salary then more applicants would have applied for the job. This could mean the RLMT could fail i.e job can be taken up by a UK/EU citizen.

The ad should have salary that is either an exact amount or a range or should be give as competitive. Any deviation from the advertised mean that the ad should be advertised again for 28 days.

My suggestion will be - now accept that offer with the salary advertised. Then request them to increase the salary after few months (probably 3 months minimum).

So if it is competitive it simply means you can negotiate for whatever you want

Own website for RLMT

Post by bholo » Wed Apr 27, 2016 10:08 am

Does it counts as 2nd site for RLMT if it is advertised on JOb centre plus. I have heard if over 250 employee then own websit counts as 2nd source.

Next Question, job on job centre plus specifies clsoe date, locagion, responsibilities, salary. but not opening date. Is it a mandatory field. I cannot see in documentation.

Lastly, job on website says salary competitive while on RLMT actual salary is listed? Is this devication ok? Job on website does not have closing date and is on going while JOb centre plus has a close date.

Please let me know if there will be a problem for RLMT
