In Country Switch from Workpermit to HSMP

Hi Guys, I am planning to do the below, can you please review and let me know whether its possible or not.

1. Planning to apply for HSMP in Feb as a out country applicant.
2.In April my employer will send me to UK.
3.Once i reach there will apply EC and switch from WP to HSMP.

Can you guys please check whether its possible to do? Or u guys have any suggestion?

I can apply EC and go to UK but for a safer side i am planning things like this.
