Gross salary?? Spouse Visa

Post by stephlouise92 » Fri Apr 29, 2016 2:47 pm

Hello,
My husbands spouse expires and we are in the process of collecting documents ect for the extension. My husband works full time in the UK and has a permanent job which he has been in for 2 years +. He gets paid hourly on weekly basis. Each week his pay is different as he gets paid tips & overtime.

Please could someone tell me how I would calculate his gross salary?
We received his P60 last week and it has figure of £31,407.00

Also I believe that we should be applying under CAT A?

Many thanks
Steph

Twice. You calculate two figures and claim the lower. The two figures are earnings over the previous 12 months and twice the earnings over the previous 6 months.

You are right. It will be CAT A variable income.

You need to get 26 weeks payslips.

You must ensure that the aggregate of his 26 weeks earning, divided by 6 and multiply by 12, is at the level of 18600 or above.

Assuming he earn the amount your mentioned, you should be ok.

Could be Cat A or B, Cat B is for variable income. It's likely to be Cat A assuming in the last 6 months he's met the Financial Requirement on a pro rata basis as detailed by Obie. Only if it was less, then it would need to be Cat B.

If there is a shortfall in earnings in the 26 week preceding the application and as a result the earning do not meet the threshold, then it will be CAT B over 52 weeks or the 12 months preceding the application.
