Ambiguous Reference and Identity Section of MN1

Post by Ilr_in_2016 » Thu May 12, 2016 11:46 pm

Dear Experts

Does the section 5.3 in MN1 form refers to the age of the referee or the applicant ?

If it happens to be of referee why is the age is asked in section 5.2.

Please clarify and I thank you for the response

Thank You, MaiSaran

Its about the age of the referee.
Who said the form is clear and well-designed (?).

This particular section is really confusing. The NHS doctor in the first reference gave how he knows my daughter "as patient" and his age for section 5.2 and provided my daughter's date of birth on section 5.3

When I asked for a amendment to change to the section to reflect his date of birth, he simply wrote "as patient" in section 5.2 ignoring the age or profession.

The NHS GP where I am registered to whom I paid to make this reference already were unwilling for 1st amendment. All the writings are done behind the doors by them without us being present and channelled through secretaries.

Should I carry on with profession section 5.2 ??? Or Should the profession be clearly mentioned?

It is disappointing the way this form is organized/designed.

Thanks, MaiSaran

The age or profession should be mentioned.
For a professional it should be their profession.

If HO is not happy with any of the referees they will simply write and ask you to nominate another referee.

Thank You. I will try out and get the age or profession written on section 5.2 from the NHS Doctor.

Thank You, MaiSaran

Note
if a professional referee does not wish to state their personal details on the form they are entitled to enter: "Details available on request" instead of exposing any private information.

Thanks Again for further clarification.

Could the same person give 2nd Reference for MN1 in section 5 and for Passport application in Section 10 for a child under 16.

Thank You MaiSaran

If you mean can the same person be a referee in both type of applications then: Yes;
(assuming they fulfill the different requirements in each case).
