Hi,
I have used the online application to apply a family visitor visa for my parents for 6 months.. My dad is retired and mum a housewife.
I'm a ltd company director. It took 2 weeks and my parents have received a rejected letter.
The reasons are as follows:
1. we have mentioned that dad's monthly income is £250 but have not provided any evidence for it namely bank statements/
My dad has provided a fixed deposit certificate for 4 lacs but apparently they were not satisfied with it. I have not given much emphasis on this as i felt they will only be looking at sponsor's finance status but i was wrong they want the evidences for everything written on application.
2. Dad has submitted a house property document (unfortunately it was not translated in english) and consulate have found another reason to reject saying the document is not translated and hence cannot be considered.
What are my options going forward? Dad has bank statements that might prove his monthly income to be £250 and we have to get a property affidavit document translated into english.
Should i appeal with these document or applying a fresh application is the best way to go forward?
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks
Venu

A very valid reason, UKVI is not a translation bureau....
Flawed application, reapply and this time provide the information required.

Hi
Yes i agree that it was a flawed application and i am going to submit the translated document of property papers.
However for bank statement i have a question.
1. My dad is retired and has about 30 lacs in fixed deposits and he gets his income from the quarterly interest paid out on those fixed deposits. It comes to about 15-20k per month. As he uses this income for his living expenses, he never has enormous bank balance in his accounts. The bank balance might come to Rs 30/40k on average.
I am going to put his income as Rs 20k per month and the HO worker will reconcile it from bank statement.
However will they be concerned that the bank balance is not good enough (not running into lakhs of rupees). I can transfer some money into their account but this will raise eyebrows as it will be fairly recent transaction.
Please note that i am the sponsor and am fully bearing their expenses, despite this does having not a great bank balance raise suspicisions that they are financially sustainable??
Please advise

@venu479 - Hi. Did you manage to get the visa eventually? Which documents did you submit?

The thread is over 2 years old and the OP hasn't posted on the forum since March 2014.
