Hi Guys,

Have been browsing the site for a few days now

can somebody help me please

all visa fees paid for


my wife had her bio metrics on march 15
i then visited her, left the case with my solicitor there was a problem we couldn't send case off, we got all the paperwork ready and sent it to Sheffield on 6/5/16. Does anybody know how long it takes for Sheffield to make a decision. Also I have heard from a few people. Sheffield office does ring the sponsor is this true your input is appreciated. I do apologize if i have posted in the wrong place thank you

Assuming your wife was applying from outside of the UK, in which country was the application submitted? Processing times vary.

I have been gone through same situation.
My biometeric date is same 15 March with priority fee.

After 6 weeks Sheffield informed they have not got my documents... They gave 10 working days to submit...
Actually it was misplaced by royalmail..
After that I tracked it and sent to Sheffield on 5May 2016...
Till then I have not got any confirmation of documents receipt by Sheffield....
I have tracked my status via enquiry ..no current updates...

Did you get any email of confirmation receipt of of the documents by Sheffield or any updates of process via enquiry email?
Did they inform you they have not got your documents?
How much time they will take to make decision in our situation though I paid priority fee.

Thanks for replying. My solicitor hasn't said anything as of yet in regards to a conformation email. From what my understanding is sheffield isn't emailing every applicant. Also the priority fee, what is that? my wife had to pay a premium lounge fee at mirpur which was a sum of Rs4000. I paid the others fees such as the application, NHS etc when booking the bio-metrics. How did you enquiry? is there any sort of online tracking system?

Royal mail - hate it when that happens. on the plus side at least sheffield did contact you to let you know. From what my understanding is of the forum link above some people are getting a answer's within 15-30 days others slightly longer than that. for me it's going to be 4 weeks on monday fingers crossed she gets her visa In Sha Allah

I got reply no current updates regarding my application via enquiry form after the 3 weeks of documents submitted again.


I paid priority fee its 400 pounds extra fee to put my file in front of queue....actually people who are getting reply in 4 or less than 4 weeks paid priority fee for their application at Gerry's.

Normally application can take 12 weeks.
Your application is normal..

Actually I paid in march it was £360 but now I think it's £ 450 extra you have to pay at Gerry's if you want to take this service....

ramadhan mubarak to all readers. The link you gave me which is a above i followed that but didnt have the gwf number. As i was waiting on my solicator to give me that number. sheffield emailed me its going to be a week friday In Sha Allah we all get reunited with our loved ones soon thanks
