Urgent Need Help: Employed PBS Dependant to Tier 2 General

Hi All,

I am new to this board. I have few questions regarding PBS Dependent to Tier 2 General visa switch.

I came to the UK as PBS Dependent last year(My spouse is on Tier 2 ICT Long Term visa now) and got a job with same visa 6months back. I am on a permanent role in a company and they've agreed to provide me Work Visa (I am assuming it would be Tier 2 General) now.

I have few questions regarding the process.

1. I know that I have to travel back to India to apply for this switch. Will I lose my current job if I do so? Can I still be an employee for same company?
2. Should my employer carryon RLMT process again? Because I am already employed with them for past 7 months. Or Is there any exemption for already employed candidates?
3. How many days should I go back to India for this process?
4. Has anyone undergone this process before? Any help on detailed process would be highly beneficial.
