HSMP extension- spouse joining

Hi all,

I need to extend my HSMP visa. I have come to Uk during my first month of HSMP visa and got the job after 4.5 months, same profession, one year contract job. My wife had visited UK twice so far and she wont be with me during HSMP extension as she need to continue her job till i have a stable job. Without spouse, will it affect my HSMP extension.
May be this question raised many times in the past but still no concrete reply. Whether any one had successful extension without spouse joining in the first year.

Except this issue i am satisfying JOb and economic activity wise.
Could any one share their views please

It should not be a problem. Have you claimed points for your spouse? Even assuming yes, it should not be a problem. You are satisfying the main criteria of being economically active i.e not being a burden on the tax payers during this period.

The only problem is that your wife will have to go for EC again as her visa would have expired. She can only do so after your FLR has been processed.

Thanks Mwazir, you have relieved my tension some what. I too claimed 10 points for her but without her points also i have got 65 points.
As you said, She can apply EC again based on my FLR. In Uk consulate in germany EC is really cool not like India.

Apart from this , i would like to know whether anyone successfully got extension without spouse in recent days. Hope i am not alone..
