Want to teach lesson to consultant

Post by kmehta » Tue Jan 08, 2008 3:23 pm

hello all,
i got visa stamped from 3 jan 2008 with my wife as dependent. i applied on 5 dec at VFS Ahmedabad and waited for EC till 8 Jan. My application was verified twice!! but afterall it turned out as good for me!!
i want to share something here. i have applied through some consultant for HSMP approval letter and EC application. I am sure many others have used consultant. My grievances are lot on consultants. like they dont advice properly and misguide sometime. in my case he didnt help for proper managing document (which result in one long month of process), arranging money or CA certificate, letters for accomodation, post dated EC, and not even submission of application at VFS. Though I have paid him lots of money over 20 k. Now i want to teach him lesson. so that another applicant not suffer from such ppl. this website is so well managed that nobody need consultant. but due to lack of time and proper information some may used consultant.
now please advice me how should i teach him so he feel that he can realize!!
CAN I EMAIL BHC OR HO?? OR TO MEDIA??
PLEASE ADVICE!!

Hi kmehta,
Even i wasted my money in consultants ...for me it is 47 k!!! They dint help me a bit..Even while filing for HSMP they asked me to run around for documents and notarized copies at the last minute and for EC same thing happened...They made a delay of one week to verify my document lists but finally they forgot to give me the cover letter which had all important info...Thank God,My wife asked me to verify all the docs once again the day before i went for filing and she found out it was missing...Atlast i found out a sample cover letter format online, edited and added the other info ,then the next day when i went to EC,Only then i noticed no papers were in order and i had to shuffle them once again..All these consultants are sure to help on our tasks of getting notarized copies, take dd from forex offices and assist us in everything..Thats why we pay them..but these ones never do any work and they add up tension in our last minute. As u said, even these people said the same thing that they will not give you post dated entry clearance and also they warned me not to take more than 2 VAF 2 forms (one for me and one for my wife) inside the VFS as they would question you..(funny.. )But i took the copies of it also, that saved my time in spending money inside and xeroxing it... And for the photo specifications,45 * 35 was advised by the consultant, thank god i took a UK package with konica and took all size fotos with me...and they asked for 50*50 lastly!!! They are cheats in disguise..Better to open a seperate forum and list out what are all the flaws experienced by people like us ,so that new applicants will be aware of all that and start questioning them!!! Sorry if the post is too big!!!!!!!

guys,

I dont see any harm in listing them here in this website. cos anyone whos goin to try HSMP will do a google which might bring them to this website.

So we can start a thread as "blacklisted consultants" and put all the names in it & keep it as Sticky..people can have look and get an understanding..

any other idea is also welcome.
Lion

110% agree with venktesh. they all r lier and cheat. make money for doing nothing. i have also faced these notary,CA certificate and ... problems with him. I dont understand why I had paid him money. Even he and his staff has varied opinion on which docs should be put up and which not. I have also wasted my one week in going to his office. If I had done my self it could saved my 15 days. I am so much frustrated with these so called consultants who have big ads in newspaper and hordings. Now I am planning to write him email that what problems we have faced due to you. Then after his reaction will take furhter step.  [/quote]

and i think most of consultant r having same mindset. so if we start blacklisting almost 90% consultant from all big cities of india come under this.
herts, in which area u r mentioning in ahmedabad? My consultant is based at Ashram road and showing that he is the most busiest consultant in Ahmedabad.

im with you guys, my consultant has asked me to get name variation certificate , and when i checked my last application to be sent to HO, it was missing in the list of enclosures ! ..

venkatesh, i guess my case is with the same consultant as yours,
can you explain followin querries

1)what is "UK package with konica" ?
2) Can you elaborate about post dated entry clearance missguidance ?
3)Also let us know why you need two VAF 2 forms (one for me and one for my wife) ? if consultants didn't advise you to take them then how they asked you ti file EC for your wife ?

Chetanamale,
My answers to your questions..

1)Konica outlets and photo shops in Chennai have various packages that you can opt for while taking your photo. In fact they ask you which country visa,if u say its for visa..and there are some photo specifications required from country to country..say for US visa you need a light background with ears exposed etc...and for UK it varies ..It is called a package coz you get those fotos in all sizes (16 pics,32 pics and 64 pics according to ur need )from stamp size to 2 *2 inches and the amount you pay is cheap rather than for few fotos..

2)When i asked my consultant if i can state that i need my Entry clearance only in the first week of february and not early as i have one month notice period in my current office. But the consultant said, they never do it and if you mention it they may think ur interfering with the decision and may have high chances of rejection. !!!

3)Nope,what they said was they asked me to fill 2 forms, one for me and one for my wife, they gave me four forms,to use the other two as rough copies...but then they asked me not to carry the xerox copies of the fair ones inside or show it to the vfs officer as this will be another problem.Thank god,i took those xerox copies inside, else i would have wasted time in photocopying it inside and it is costly too, plus if u dont have the copies in your hand, the VFS executive asks you to take it and come and then he passes on to the next token number..and there's a huge que waiting to take photocopies!!!Total time waste!

I think it would be a great idea to keep a list going of consultants - they could get rep points, which could be good or bad.

before listing of consultant let people come in this thread who have used the consultants to apply. i think many here have done all stuff themselves.
