Filling the naturalisation form

Post by sammie007 » Sat Jun 18, 2016 4:58 pm

Hello,

I am currently filling in the AN form for Naturalisation. It has a section asking me for my previous 10 years employment history. From October 2009 to (dissolved on)October 2012, i had a private limited company. However, I only actually had income coming until Oct 2011. From Oct 2011 to Oct 2012 I filled nil return.

So my question is in the form:

1) Should i put start date as Oct 2009 and end date as Oct 2012 with my company name & address? Or from 2009 to 2011 when my last income was filled?

2) Do i need to further break it down in to the companies that i worked with for what period as being self employed?

Thanks,
Sambhav

Essentially - will it be a blanket - start date when i started the company and the end date when i dissolved or further break it down according to the time scales / project i did under the company?

You need to list the times your were 'self employed' through your company and who you were taxed/paid through.

1. Yes, if that is the period you were self employed through your company.

2. No, not if you were not 'employed', i.e. on the payroll of these companies.

Thanks,

I was the only one paid ( I worked as an IT consultant) through the life time of my company, however, unfortunately, I cannot seem to find all the names of companies that I contracted with, hence, don't seem to have that information ( which companies paid me for my services and when). Also, I closed my company bank account when I closed my company so I cannot trace back when i received these incomes.

Though what I do have is my employment history which i requested from HMRC which shows total income received as self employment and tax paid in a calendar year etc. But it doesn't drill to the depth where it shows who payed and when it was payed.

I am not what is the way out here to find exact company names that payed my company and when!

If you were NOT on these companies payroll, but self employed and providing a 'service' and paying your own tax through self assessment, you DO NOT have to list the companies, they were your 'clients'.
