House Inspection Report

Post by Artur111 » Tue Jul 19, 2016 1:23 pm

Dear all,

Almost ready to apply for my wife's spouse visa and the only point left to complete is a House Inspection report...

I've contacted local council and they're not providing a house inspection report service.
Checked local estate agents and they don't have a clue about it, but ready to help (obviously for a fee).

The only obstacle is no one really knows how does this report look like.
I honestly don't even imagine how it can look like and what points to mention in that report.
Can anyone please shed some light or maybe provide the template (that would be just great)?

A house inspection report is not compulsory. However, if there is one, then make sure that it's not false.

Thanks for your reply Vinny,

After all those expenses that I've had and going to have, I'm not going to ruin everything just by submitting a false report. The estate agent will visit and inspect the house. It's a local estate agency.
As per his and my knowledge it has to satisfy the condition that it is not overcrowded and there's enough space for my spouse if her visa is granted.

So the question is how this information should be provided? Is there any template that can be used?

I have only submitted rental agreement but I think inspection report is only required if the house is shared or you have kids etc. If it is only you and your wife then in my opinion you should be fine.

I was about to get 3 bed house for a quite affordable rent, but that didn't figure out. Landlord changed his plans very last minute.
So now I'm staying at the same place where I was previously - another 3 bedroom house with a couple leaving there. So my understanding is that as this couple are not my relatives I will need to provide an inspection report.
Local estate agent is ready to do it and come and check the house, measure it etc. to satify the condition that's it not overcrowded. But I just need a template of Inspection Report.

Thank you.
