Partner's achievements-letters for the past two year

Post by exujing » Tue Jan 11, 2005 1:13 pm

Hi all,

I've read some previous posts about the three letters required for claiming Partner's achievements. My question is: should all three letters have dates that are two years ago? or should they be received at various point during the past two years?

Thanks a lot for your help!

The letters can be of any date ... that would be taken as a proof of you 2 living togather. Proof for living togather for longer than 2 years will be your marriage certificate if you are married ... and no idea abt if you are not married :?

in my case we had the marriage certificate for the 2 years proof ... and bills and letters as a proof for living togather.

This wasn't our experience. We have a marriage certificate from 1982. We sent in utility bills, council tax bills and lease that were less than a year old. They wouldn't accept that proof. You have to have evidence from two years ago. We had to send in additional evidence from exactly two years ago.

As to whether you need to show in addition that you have lived together more recently... I don't know. It would probably be best -- if you can provide it, to give them all of the proof they request for two years ago, and then give them more recent evidence to show you are still residing together. Might as well cover all the bases!

Thanks both! We have been married for less than 1 year but have been living together for more than two years. The problem is I can only find 2 letters older than 2 years(one to each of us), so I hope I can make the number of letters up but sending those who are less than 2 years.

wow .... they never created any problem for me ... although NOW i think i had insufficient proof of living togather ... just the marriage certificate and some letters and those letters were not even dated 2 years prior to the submission of my application.

it seems like they are creating complications in the application system every day :? in another thread i was reading problems abt some experience letter :!: my experience letter was also not a very detailed one ... so may be i should just thank god for getting HSMP processed in early days and pray for my extension.
