FLR (IED) urgent treatment

Post by djbabyboom » Mon Jan 10, 2005 2:51 pm

It always waits for the least suitable time. Mal son temps...

My 1st year HSMP EC expires on 10th of March and I have submitted the FLR application on 5th January.

This morning I find a message in my inbox from the client requiring to travel overseas at least twice at end of January and beginning of February.

Anyone, who ever submitted the urgent treatment form, did you attach a ticket / a letter / anything else to the form? How soon did you get your passport after sending that?

Thank you very much.

I did not send any proof when sending the urgent treatment form but it was accepted and my passport was returned back in 3 days time. They will try to match the date you want to travel provided you give them a realistic time. Therefore, make haste, send off the urgent treatment, then call them up and get a confirmation.

djbabyboom,
Have you sent the Urgent Treatment Form then? If so, what was the outcome?
Please update us, if possible.

Thanks
shayar

Bureaucracy isn't always ugly, at least in this country. If you meet their criteria and submit sufficient evidence, everything should done as smoothly as expected.

We received our passports today!

Quick history:

1) submitted application on 5/01;
2) funds cleared on 7/01;
3) received confirmation letter on 8/01;
4) received 'you'll need to travel overseas on 18/01.' from my client on 10/01;
5) faxed urgent treatment form along with the letter from the client and copy of the ticket on 11/01;
6) telephoned HO on 12/01, received a very friendly response 'your application is now with a caseworker';
7) telephoned again on 13/01, received congratulations and special delivery #;
8) received all the passports today, on 14/01.

My colleague who submitted his FLR application a week earlier, is travelling on 4th February. He called HO himself and was assured his application will be considered in a due course to let him travel.
