Help for my study

Dear All,

I am currently claiming Employment support allowance for my illness, and I am planning to study a course related to HR (CIPD program) from the foundation, and the course fee is £1900 + VAT. Is there any possibilities that Council/Government will support me financially to complete my studies. I was used to working as Retail Store Manager , but due to severe physical work activities caused severe health issues , so finally I decided to quit and looking for a suitable office based jobs, and I felt CIPD qualification will boost my opportunities in big time. Please kindly advise me, your help on this issues will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

What do you mean by 'foundation'??

Only certain types of institutes qualify for Student Finance Funding (assuming you are in England). Colleges generally don't but they would have their own 'loan funding' scheme.

If you have ILR you are an international student (from overseas) and should find help on UKCISA (even if you are lucky enough to be a home student for fees).

Is someone (hard-pressed UK taxpayer) going to gift you £1900? - unlikely.
So its all about loans, bursaries, scholarships - all covered by UKCISA site.

Is it a CIPD accredited college, a university etc? You only get student funding for university course. Any other institution you will need to contact them.

Council does not fund 'studies' as far as I am aware.

Also, you need to be aware that if you are a full time student, you don't get housing benefit (in case you currently get HB).

Dear Noajthan, I used to be high taxpayer from 2005, but my health condition currently made me resign the job now , but I am still searching suitable job which can support my illness. But I will be in better place soon. Thanks
