company has received UCOS allocation now

Tier 2 Visa History

Visa Start Date: 01 Oct 2013
Work Start Date: 29 Oct 2013
Visa expiring date: 15 Nov 2016
Start and End date on COS : 01 Nov 2013 to 01 Nov 2016

so overall visa I had was 3 years and 45 days

Time is near to apply extension with same employer and same SOC. the only issue is when to apply and what dates to enter to COS by employer:

Employer has asked when do I want my COS and I said I will apply in Oct so they might allocate me a week before but I want things to go in correct way

what dates should I ask my employer to put on COS

Note: I have been given 3 years 45 days visa already ,as per guideline it should not exceed more than 6 years so would my dates will on extension COS will be 1 Oct 2016 to 1st Oct 2019 or employer can carry on putting the same dates as per last COS (1st Nov 2016 to 1st Nov 2019)

If I have my dates on COS 1st Nov 16 to 2019 then would I exceed 6 years

If I have my dates on COS 1st Oct 2016 to 2019, when should I apply , will it be 1st week of October or before October (it might does not matter as I am already working)

Really confuse please can someone advise what will be as below

Start Date on COS ?
End date on COS ?

when should I apply based on the Start date on COS ??


I have read in my discussion that if extension is with same employer and same code then COS should have date after the expiry date (ie-- visa expiring 15 nov so COS start date for extension will be 16 NOv). is it right ??

cos dates for new cos: 1 Nov 2016 to 30 Oct 2019
apply for cos allocation now.
issue cos anytime now.
apply visa as soon as cos is issued.
