Changing employer (Tier 2 general worker)

Post by Surjit82 » Wed Aug 17, 2016 12:21 pm

Hi Guys,

I have been working on tier 2 general visa since March 2014. My NQF level for the visa is NQF Level 6. Recently, I have been offered a job which falls in NQF Level 3.

My questions are:
1) For changing employer for tier 2 general, is it required to conduct the Resident Labour Market Test by the prospective employer?
2) Is it possible to move down to NQF Level 3 from NQF Level 6 for tier 2 general visa?

I want to change because the new offer has got better salary. Please advise. Thanks!

Cheers!

The answers provided by iworker are correct.
However it might be worth reviewing the standard occupational code at NQF level 6 to see if you can find something that closely matches either way your new employer will need to carry out the RLMT
