Appointments are easy, you book and pay online.

Read through the tier 1 dep guidance notes, has lots of info in.

Re: Tier 1 Dependent extension -health surcharge

many thanks for prompt reply.

I started the dependent application. I am confused about health surcharge. My husband has ILR (after 5 years as Tier 1 general).

Should I choose - apply alone or applying to join ?

thanks

You must apply alone otherwise the surcharge will bensure high and incorrect.

Many thanks!
One more query - My husband's british citizenship application has been approved (15 June 2016). He will take oath on 6 Aug.
I am wondering whether I will be considered as "family member of UK citizen" and will be exempt of surcharge? My son (minor) is also British passport holder.

You won't be exempt.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

There is only ONE visa category that is exempt from the aurcharge and that is Tier 2 ICT main and dependent.

Even spouse of BC has to pay surcharge if applying in that category.
