2.2 Yesgre.bm691 wrote:Dear members
I am filling out the form for my wife and had a few doubts regarding some sections.
Some background first:
My wife is on Spouse visa has been away since Jul 2017 as she was expecting and we decided to have the child back in India. As we wait for my son's British passport (which is taking ages as we all know), we are approaching her expiry date. We have decided that she would come here for 2-3days, get the premium service extension done and then she could go back to be with my son till the passport arrives. I intend to then get them back together (carrying her BRP to her when it arrives).
Here come the doubts:
2.2 Is this the first time you have applied for a visa or extension of stay in one of the above
categories (including previous leave granted as a fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner) with your
current sponsor? >>>> She has already been on Spouse visa with me as sponsor. This is her first extension. What should be the answer?
3.15 If your sponsor was not British from birth, when did your sponsor obtain settlement?>>>> Is this in reference to ILR or citizenship?
3.16 On what basis did your sponsor obtain settlement in the UK?>>>>> Should I just say 5 yr tier 1 route
4.4 If you have answered yes to questions 4.1, 4.2 and/or 4.3 provide details of these children in
the table below. Please provide details of those children who are applying with you first.>>>>> Here is the tricky one. Though my son is British by descent, we dont have the passport yet. Related to the same, should I just say pending overseas passport with ref. number?
6.5 How do you keep in touch with your sponsor? >>>>>>> What do I write here?- We live toghether. When been away we keep intouch on Whatsapp (transcripts included). I have visited her on 3 occasions whilst shes been away having the baby.
6.6 Do you and your sponsor currently live together? >>>>>> Yes or NO? We lived together till the OVS application processing time kept us apart. Note that if I say NO, I am told to skip the question 6.9 which allows me to write details of the periods she has been away.
7.2 What is the financial requirement you are required to meet? Tick relevant box.>>>>> Just checking, I only need to show the requirement for my wife? It clearly states here that a british national child do not need to be included (though I qualify for that too).
Thanks for going through the topic.
