Route to settlement for family members of naturalized citize

Post by jdsouza » Thu Sep 08, 2016 12:23 pm

Hello,

I entered the UK in 2008 and have obtained British Citizenship through naturalisation recently.
I would like to know the route for naturalisation for my wife and our 3 year old son. Their travel and visa details are as per below.

VISAS FOR MY WIFE:
================
  1. Visa #1, Dependent of Tier1, From 14-Jun-2012 To 03-Jun-2013
  • Visa #2, Dependent of ILR, From 02-Apr-2014 To 02-Jan-2017
VISAS FOR MY SON(born in India):
================
  1. Visa #1 Dependent of ILR From 02-Apr-2014 To 02-Jan-2017
Could you please advise if it is possible for them to apply for ILR during the next renewal of their visa? If not, what category of visa would they need to apply for?

Thanks in advance.

It seems like they applied for entry clearances with effective date 2 April 2014 and valid for 33 months, until 2 Jan 2017.

When did they enter the UK?

They may apply for FLR(M), after having spent 30 months in the UK, preferably before their leave expires.

Subsequently, they may apply for SET(M) no sooner than 28 days prior to their the 5th anniversary of initial entry and preferably before their leave expires.
