Any correspondence after Ceremony?

Post by sivag » Wed Sep 14, 2016 5:19 pm

Dear all,

Many thanks to immigrationboard members for their valuable suggestions. I've received my approval letter and due to attend the ceremony on 1st week of October. After attending the ceremony, I am moving to another city in UK due to my job location change. In this circumstances, do I need to update my change of address to Home office OR Is that really required to set royal mail redirection to receive any post ceremony correspondence letter from Home office/Council. Based on my understanding, receiving citizenship certificate at the ceremony is last communication and end of journey. Is that right?

Just I am thinking to save £30 by avoiding mail redirection and I can apply for the british passport using my new address. Could you pls suggest on this?

Thanks,
Siva.

There is no 'post ceremony' correspondence.

No, you do not need to update HO if you move.

Yes, you can apply for passport using new addresss.
