Confusion about degree

Post by MGazan » Wed Jan 12, 2005 3:36 pm

Hi everybody,

I have sent this question to other forums but no body replied.

Please answer me if you have any idea.
I am from Pakistan.
I did my 4-year degree from a university that got recognized by HEC in my last semester.
This university is among degree awarding institutes on HEC's website.
My degree is attested from HEC itself.
I am not sure if NARIC would have my University in its list. I wonder how often it is updated?
What do I do...? Should I send my docs to NARIC myself or not?
My fear is that if they reply soon, it would cause delay in my application.

Please clarify.

Hei MGazan,
I have noted that only Masters from Punjab University, Lums, Quaid-e-Azam University and IBA Karachi are getting 15 points only. So if you are from these institutes then dont worry for these points but, if nit then it will be better to apply later after getting your assesment from NARIC yourself. It will prevent you disappointing later.

But my university is among the list in HEC.

They won't contact HEC for clarification?

Nop...they will contact only with NARIC for the clarifications about education. Its the duty of HEC to inform authorities about recognised institutions.
So, u r from Pakistan, well i replied ur earlier query before this, I am from Punjab University.

Invest in the naric assessment, £ 25 and you will get the official indo, that way you will know for sure the points to expect.
