IGS to HSMP (6month gap when I was a student)

IGS to HSMP (6month gap when I was a student)

Hi,
I completed my Bsc from Oxford Brookes University in July '07 and got my IGS in November '07. I am planning on applying for HSMP/Tier 1 after a while for which I will be eligible.
I have only one student visa extension which was made from a college that is now closed due to ingenuity. I had to go through this route due to a 6 month gap in uni due to lack of funds.

Question 1: When I apply for HSMP, will they go back and check my old student extension and those details or will they just rely on my 1 year experience and IGS visa?

Question 2: I have heard HO has a record of registered students of such colleges and deport them upon arrival back to UK at immigration. Is this true?

Another quick question, will I be able to extend my IGS under PSW (Tier 1) by another year?

Are my IGS years counting towards teh 5 years required to obtain ILR?

Yes, according to the transitional arrangements for IGS in the SoI:
Graduates with valid leave under IGS or its predecessor, the Science and Engineering Graduates Scheme, (SEGS) when Post Study Work is implemented will be able to complete that leave and may apply for a one-off extension in Post Study Work up to a total of 2 years of IGS/SEGS and Post Study Work leave combined.

10. [...] Post Study Work will be part of the Highly Skilled tier because successful applicants will be free to seek employment without having a sponsor. But, unlike the other Highly Skilled sub-categories, it is there only to provide a bridge to highly skilled or skilled work. People with Post Study Work leave will be expected to switch into another part of the points system as soon as they are able to do so.
To encourage people to switch, leave will be fixed at 2 years maximum, it will not be possible to apply for further leave and time spent in the sub-category will not count towards the threshold for being eligible to apply for settlement.
24. Time spent in any Highly Skilled sub-category except Post-Study Work will count towards the period the person needs to be here for before being eligible to apply for settlement in the Highly Skilled or Skilled tiers (currently 5 years).
