I have applied for my naturalisation and just received a pending case for a CCJ for DEBT but I live in Scotland now and not England. I have informed the county business court Northampton and I have applied to strike out the claim.
However, this has been transferred to Bromley county court. Does Bromley county court has the power to place a county court judgement on me and will this affect my naturalisation now as I have submitted that i do not have a CCJ
Will the home office know that I have a pending case? and will the pending case be fulfilled since I do not live in England?
The hearing for the CCJ has not been fixed yet. I have contacted the Debt collection agency to apply for a Tomblin order.
Finally, I have spoken with the debt collection team, if they agree with the Tomlin order, Would a Tomlin order affect my application if it's not declared and will the Home office be able to see this?
I know the home rule states 6.2 Debt The decision maker will not normally refuse an application simply because the person is in debt, especially if loan repayments have been made as agreed or if acceptable efforts are being made to pay off accumulated debts. However, where a person deliberately and recklessly builds up debts and there is no evidence of a serious intention to pay them off, the decision-maker will normally refuse the application."
what should I do? should I inform the Home office now, or wait if the case will still go through or not. Am so confused.
Thank you for your time
I need your advice, please.
Thanks
