"A decision has been made on your application"

Post by sm12 » Fri Sep 23, 2016 3:19 pm

My mother is applying to come to the UK and she also applied for Schengen visa.
She has received message saying "A decision has been made on your application" and she can collect PASSPORT.

It does not say anything about visa. Does this mean she was rejected? :(

It's a neutral communication. The email is a standard notification and your mother will only know the result when she collects her passport.

Thank you for your reply, Casa.

I thought that there would be a mention of visa if it was approved.
My brother even called the Consulate but they also only said passport has been sent, no mention of visa.

They don't tell you the outcome, in writing or by phone. Applicants have to wait till passports are collected to find out the result.

Thank you CR001 for the reply.

Do Consulates usually call if they require more information or a document?
Just wondering because the processing seems a bit quicker than we expected.

My mother has received a message today about passport collection, which is odd as it is Sunday. It is not even an automated message, which seems odd.
