Tier 2 General Visa extension while on maternity leave

Hi,

I am on Tier 2 General Visa and my visa extension is due in May, 2017.

I am on 9 months maternity leave from October, 16.

Will there be any issue when I go for Visa extension in March, 17 (I'll be on maternity leave during this time)?

Also if I go to India from October, 16 to Feb, 17 (5 months) for my delivery, will it affect my visa extension in any way?

Please let me know if anyone has any experience on this situation.

If I take unpaid leave on tier 2 general and go out of country, does my employer needs to inform ukba/ukvi?

say if i go to my home country for a month from 15th dec to 15 jan, and i get half salary for December and half salary for january. do i or my employer need to tell ukba?

no they wont have to tell them.
for your own sake, make sure the time outiside the uk is less than 180 days.
extending leave on maternity is not a problem. u need a new cos and the salary you were being paid before the maternity leave is relevant.
