child born in UK from EEA parent without PR stamp

Post by Stash » Mon Oct 03, 2016 2:39 pm

Hello,

I am an EEA national ( France ) leaving and working in the UK for more than 5 years. My husband is a non-EEA national on EEA2 card. I have got the same employer, got all my slips, P60s , etc... should be very straight forward PR case, however i am told that post-brexit vote the delay are over 6 months to obtain it.
My baby is due in december and we are told that baby born from EEA national which have PR, are british citizen, however i am looking at what is the procedure to obtain the citizenship for my baby if i have passed the 5 years but dont have the PR stamp in my passport ?
does anyone would know what needs to be done ? I have looked throughout the gov website but dont find any information for that case, it is only saying that you need to put your ILR details in the registration form ( thing i will not get ready for december )

Any info / link onto the procedure will be greatly appreciated

thanks !

thank you. I checked and that is fine, however i am surprised by this requirement :

A passport / document showing a UK Residence Card or Registra
tion Certificate issued five years before the child’s birth and
a letter
confirming that the parent(s) were not receiving benefits during that period;

Would you know from whom the letter for the benefits needs to come from ?

Also i dont have residence car or registration certificate. that is by the way not required in the PR procedure... Is there any others documents which would cover the same ?

thanks for your help.

Request letter from DWP via JobCentre;
- request via this email ( contact-us(at)jobcentreplus.gsi.gov.uk ) which goes to a central department within DWP
