Hi, I'm in a slight conundrum and would appreciate any help. I've searched the boards and there does not seem to be much discussion on this.
I applied for BC as spouse of British Citizen and have received a letter from the Home Office stating that my application for British Citizenship has been approved. The letter also states that I should expect a second letter from the Home Office inviting me to the Citizenship Ceremony after which I should contact the council. The letter I got was from a specific case worker as she had asked me for NARIC docs after I submitted my application and this letter from her was a response to confirm reciept of docs and that my application has been approved. The letter specifically states I should email a certain address in case I dont get an invitation letter within 3 weeks of getting the approval letter.
However, it has been more than a month (c. 5 weeks) since I got this letter and no invitation letter has subsequently arrived. I have emailed Citizenship.Support@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk without any luck - no response from them. I have also followed up on email to chase my previous emails without any response from that email address. I called my council and they have also not received my naturalization certificate. I sent a physical letter to the case worker informing her of this delay in the invitation letter, however I only did this about a week ago. I called at the home office telephone numbers only to be told I had to email the address above.
Does anyone know what I can do to check where this has stalled/fallen through the cracks? I'm confused and startIng to become a little anxious due to the unexplained delays after receiving the approval letter, and just want to complete the process now.
Many thanks for your help!
