ILR decision delays

Post by Ranjit_77 » Wed Oct 05, 2016 6:12 pm

Hi,
I have applied for ILR in 5th of Aug 2016 at Solihull premium visa center. There they told me that they need some more time to validate certain things and will come back to me in couple of days. I should have visited this forum earlier to see the sort of delays users are facing. I have seen in forums that users are waiting from 6 -8 months. So my 2 months is nothing in that case.

Query 1:
My case was bit complicated so applied for myself instead of all family members due to heavy fees. My family members VISA are expiring on Nov 7th. Is there any possibility for them to say based on my decision pending letter.

Query 2:
On average shall i expect some communication from HP in 3rd month or do they take more time ? I called the HO number on the website and they told that call after 6 months only.

Regards,
Ranjit

They sent me decision on 8th Sep 2016

Good luck

In such cases shouldn't they refund your £500 premium "same day" fee since that is why you pay it? Worth asking at least.

Premium fees are only refunded if the delay in processing is the fault of the UKVI (system failure etc), not when further checks need to be made to verify an application.

This is why the advice on the UKVI website is not to apply at the PSC if the application is complex.

Hello friends,

I have applied last week under Tier2 general and have received a letter stating that further checks need to be carried out by a different team.

I can now understand after following this thread that the decision might arrive 8-11 weeks. Can you guys update me the final status of your application? How long did it take at the END?

Many thanks!
