Tier-4 to LFR(M) 3.5 years before Tier-4 expiry

Post by sim2113 » Wed Oct 05, 2016 10:44 pm

Hi all, having a bit of a panic that I've been pursuing the wrong route.

I have been in the UK on a Tier-4 for post-graduate study since 2014 and have LTR until end of January 2020. I recently got married to a UK citizen and would like to switch to a spousal visa so that I am not tied to the conditions of my student visa.

Am I right to be applying for FLR(M), or is there a better way to pursue this if I still have a considerable amount of leave?

Thank you for your help!

Flr (m) is correct. It will be a new 5 year route so the sooner you apply the quicker your ILR qualifying clock will start ticking.
