BRITISH FATHER MARRIED AT TIME OF BIRTH BEFORE 1 JULY 2016

Post by bridiemcg » Mon Oct 10, 2016 9:30 am

I am in the process of trying to apply as a British Citizen through registering as a citizen by a person born before 1 July 2006 to a British Father HOWEVER MY FATHER WAS MARRIED AT THE TIME OF MY BIRTH TO AN AUSTRALIAN.

I am unsure as to how to proceed with the process as they were married at the time of my birth. I was born on December 18 1996 in Australia. My father has dual citizenship as far as I am aware and lives in Australia. He came to to Australia in 1990 and became an Australian citizen in 1993.

I was wondering if the form UKF is the appropriate form to be filling out or what other form would be more suitable.

Any other information that anybody could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Just to be clear, was your father married to your mother (Australian) at the time of your birth OR married to another lady not your mother at the time of your birth???

Does your fathers name appear on your unabridged (full) birth certificate?
Char (CR001 not Casa)
