Premium upgrade timeline ILR

Post by KhanNW » Tue Sep 27, 2016 7:41 am

Please share here if someone requested the premium upgrade of their postal application so the people can have an idea of how long it takes from request to a decision.

Premium upgrade requested: 19-09-2016
Upgrade provisionally accepted: 20-09-2016
As of 27-09-2016, no money has been deducted. I will update if/when I get a response from premium upgrade team.

As of 01-10-2016, no money has been deducted. Wait continues .........

It also suggests that this service may not be as fast as expected or shown on Home office website

Hello Khan,

Did you apply for ILR based on 10 years as postal application and then upgraded to fast track?

Were you eligible to apply for same day service?

Thank you.

Hi,

It was a postal SET (LR) application based on 10 years. I came in mid September 2006. My visa was expiring 28 days before 10 years. So I prefered to apply by post. Request to upgrade was accepted and still waiting for my file to arrive in PSC Liverpool. Thanks

Hi,

You can try by submitting premium upgrade form and by ticking in person option (£500). If accepted, you people will have to attend Liverpool PEO.

Dear Raj,

Thank you for sharing your timeline. I do understand it is so painful as I am in the same situation.

I also applied same time as you on 18th of August. Then upgraded to premium on 19/09/2016. It has been 3 weeks and no money has been taken. It is obviously not in accordance with the information provided on UKVI website in terms of efficiency. While paying extra money, people expect a quicker decision. A month or more with upgrade does not make sense.

Just to let you know, i had sent an e-mail to inquire about the delay. I did got a response in 2 hours. It suggests that our files are not necessarily located in Liverpool. Their response clearified that if they don't recieve your file, they cant do much. No file mean no fee taken and no case processing. We have no option but to wait for our files to be arrive at PSC.

Also, I can not see any one getting a rsesult using premium upgrade service during August and September on this forum. The service and results were quicker in June as few posts here suggests. You, myself and another user have same issue that we all were told provisionally eligible and since weeks no progress.

Please update us if there is any change. We will also do the same. Good luck

Khan,
Thanks for your reply. Going through the forum, I found the post below from bauzy, applied premium on 15/8/16- and he posted about his refusal on 30/9/16.
help wth ILR refusal

That's a month and half. I should have bite the bullet and pay £500 in first place for premium service. We can only hope their internal delivery system are back to normal and get our decisions soon. Thanks.

i applied for set(LR) on 6/09/2016 and upgraded to premium service but still waiting for the money to be deducted from my account to this date. The premium service is the most pathetic service and their published service standard are no more than a funny joke and i would recommend people to pay £100 extra for PEO same day appointment to save time and hassle. My detailed timeline is as follows

postal application 6-09-2016
bio-metric letter recieved 17-09-2016 dated 15-09-2016
bio-metric info submitted 17-09-2016
premium upgrade requested 17-09-2016
auto replay sameday
response confirming provisional 19-09-2016
upgrade
enquired about progress by 27-09-2016
email
reply received confirming 27-09-2016
they are still waiting for file to
arrive at PSC liverpool

since then no response i tried to contact through email couple of times without getting any response back. I am afraid if they lost the case file as no response from them is like adding insult to injury.

Hi,

It took my file to arrive at PSC 3weeks and 2 days. Though no decision yet. I would say the file will be sent from the storage definitely so dont worry. However, it is taking long time for some reason

Thank you and hope you people too. From my experience, just need to wait as your e-mails to them wont make difference. I did the same and no replies except first e-mail asking me to wait. The file will come soon as you have nearly same time as me. Good luck

Hi Sarah,

I know it is a long wait as myself had to wait 24 days before money is deducted. There was not progress at all during last few weeks. Since the UKVI seems active now, I hope your file will arrive at PSC very soon.

Hi Raj,

Mine too had entered from money deduction level (13th) to consideration level. To be honest, they took that long that I have started to enjoy their company. Started to find it thrilling like a game where it is always glorious to enter into a new level (just jockin). Hope we will get our positive results soon.

I am confused about this premium system. I thought they just accelerate at the point of postal application reviews (in a sense bring it to the top of the queue). But is this actually a conversion to a premium centre application, and they just send you to a PEO?

Acceptance of premium request results into the ordering of a case file from wherever it is. Subsequently, it is seen and decided by PSC caseworkers at Liverpool. Thanks

Hi Raj,

Any progress? Seems they will not fulfill their 5 days commitment as it is 5th day after money deducted

Khan,

No response till now. I'm just out of words with the misery they put us even though we are paying extra to get a decision. Hope for the best and keep posted. Thanks.
