DLR under human rights - Travel Restrictions

Post by africangirl » Wed Oct 26, 2016 3:54 pm

Hi all

I am on a DLR visa and would like to know what are travel restrictions ie how many days in total can one stay out of the country in 3 years by going on holidays to different countries.

I got DLR on article 8 human rights. My question is how many days in total can I stay out of country in 3 years? I did not have a problem when I renewed my first DLR but since now I am about to apply for ILR does it matter how many days I have been on holiday; I have a boyfriend who live in America so I do travel there a lot.

Thanks

On what basis were you granted DL?

Discretionary Leave is granted for special cases and is a generic term.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

Was granted on Human rights after failed asylum seeker case.
