HSMP to cost more

Post by ashishashah » Wed Jan 30, 2008 4:39 pm

Guys,

Hurry up, HSMP fees is going to be increased ...may be from march 1 when Tier 1 is introduced...

http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/about-us/n ... tion-fees1

I have a feeling that current HSMP will be suspended in first 1 week of Feb so that they can switch over to Tier 1 on 1st March (Thats what they did in Nov 06 )

Ashish,

Thanks for the info...

but I observed one point in one of the links..
http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/managi ... sedsystem/

that is... "Points will be awarded to reflect aptitude, experience, age and also the level of need in any given sector, to allow the United Kingdom to respond flexibly to changes in the labour market;"

For me two things in this sentence look like major changes compared to the current system, they are... Aptitude and also the level of need in any sector...

Do u have any more info on this??? Does it affect current HSMP or EC applicants also (Indirectly I mean)???
Thanks...
Veeresh

I guess that chances for suspension is only 50%

Last time we had 1 month suspension since that is a sudden change without any prior warning

They thought that the old scheme is highly abused and wanted to bring new scheme ASAP. also they needed time to give training on new scheme to caseworkers

But unlike last time, this time it is a well planned change with prior warning. Also they should have already started the process of giving training on new sheme to some caseworkers.

Hence chances for suspending the current scheme before the new scheme is introduced is not 100% this time

However nothing is guaranteed. Prepare for anything guys

If your documents reach them after the introduction of Tier1, they will return back it along with your fees (Airmail for outofcountry and 2nd class recorded for incountry)
