If Flr(M) or ILR is refused

Post by michali » Sat Nov 19, 2016 11:25 pm

Cannot seem to find definitive information on how long a person can remain in the U.K. after their application has been refused, assuming that by the time the refusal is given, the current visa has expired. Obviously they would need some time to tidy up their affairs. Any information on this would be much appreciated.

HO doesn't give you 'time' to sort your affairs out. If you are an overstayer, you are in the UK illegally. Whether there are appeal rights varies.

With the recent statement of change, you will now only have 14 days within which to make a new application after refusal or AR refusal.

You should leave the UK as soon as possible if you find yourself in this type of situation.
