5 year cos vs 3 year application

Post by nalfuraht » Wed Nov 30, 2016 9:27 am

I have just found out that the start and end dates my company put on their cos application equal 5 years, however I was planning on applying for a 3 year visa.
Can anyone tell me if this is possible?

(1)will UKVI reject my application?
(2) Is there a way to change the cos without having to apply for a new onw?

There is a chance they will reject it if you apply for 3 - or simply offer you to pay for the difference.
But you cannot use the 5 year COS for a 3 year visa.
I would not risk it.

They cannot change the type of COS, I'm afraid. Either assign a new one or you apply for 5.

They can add notes to cos notes, give u a letter that note has been added with start and end date changed.
Normally visa is not rejected because of this..
If you do the above, and apply with 3 year fee, u should be fine.
