quick update

Received my husband's PRC last Tuesday 25/10

Support documents and PRC came in the same envelope pre-paid I had sent.
We waited 4 months since documents were sent.

I just think awkward the fact that my PRC as non-EU has an expiring date but his PRC as European does not

Next step British citizenship :D

Thank you! I am a non-EU immigrant who got my PRC as his dependent last year.
We did not apply for my husband PRC at that time because he was not interested in applying for BC as we never thought Brexit would happen.

My husband case was not complex but I was a bit worried as he had a gap of 40 days in his employment historic due to being made redundant.

We waited 4 months, so 2 month is still early but you should receive your PR within the next couple of months.

Good luck

Hi ! I believe the waiting times are now about 6 months, so it is still too early to find out. You can contact them after 6 months if there is still no response. My friend applied at the end of July and hasn't heard anything yet.

Hi,

I sent my application (EU citizen) in mid July and I haven't received anything yet. I've been reading on this forum that it takes on average around 4 months to process applications from EU citizens, so I am expecting the decision any time now. I will post again on this thread once I get a response.

Thanks

Note this is not a general "how do I get my passport back?" or "when can I apply for confirmation?" thread.

If over 6 months, try making a request to expedite application as per latest guidance - no guarantees though:

Update from me: I just got my PRC after waiting for over 4 months. Here is the whole story:

Application sent: 12/07/2016
Money taken on: 15/07/2016
Confirmation email from Home Office: 15/08/2016
Received PRC on: 24/11/2016
PRC dated from: 16/11/2016

I was a bit worried because I had a 3 month employment gap in 2011, but I managed to get away with it. I provided a bunch of supporting documents to prove my residency in the UK during that period - national insurance record letter, HMRC letter, emails proving that I was looking for a job, job interview appointments, etc. The wait is over, phew, such a relief :) For EEA nationals the process currently takes just over 4 months. Good luck to all of you who are still waiting!

I'm an EEA citizen and I just got my PRC after only 5 weeks. Here is the whole story:

Application completed: 12/10/2016
Money paid and taken on: 13/10/2016
Application sent*: 14/10/2016
Confirmation email from Home Office: Never received one
Received PRC on: 25/11/2016
PRC dated from: 19/11/2016

Arrived in the country in July 2011 as a job seeker, started working in November (got the job offer in October 2011) and aside from a month and a half in July/August 2012 have been working ever since.

I used the online application (https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/product/eea-pr) and the council passport return service, both of which had gone live only a few days prior to my application.

I completed the application online on 12th October and paid for it the following day. When the application has been completed and paid for does it get a reference number and is probably semi-submitted at the Home Office.
On 14th October I went to my local council and used their European Passport Return Service which set me back £10. The European Passport Return Service which several councils operate is a service which people applying for EEA Qualified Person or EEA Permanent Residence applicants can use as an alternative to sending the passport along with the application and support documents. As I like to travel, paying £10 and only lose sight of your passport for the 10 or so minutes it takes for them to scan my passport is a convenient alternative to being without it for up to 6 months. After the service has been paid, the council then sends my application along with support documents and scan/copy of my passport to the Home Office.

I took care to leave nothing to chance with regards to my supporting documents so I sent the following:
Emails regarding job searches, interview invitations and declines emails.
Rental agreements for every flat I've been in.
Payslips for most years (1-2 per year until they became on-line only), the P45 from after my first job and every P60 I've received.
Council tax bills (one for every year in the UK).
One letter from my bank for every year since I moved to the UK.

To keep things organised I put documents in chronological order into separate plastic folders, one for each year.
I also included a small manifest detailing the contents of the entire envelope as well as the contents of individual plastic folders.

A useful and inspiring story.
Interesting to see if the correlation between use of online form, council passport checking service and speedy turnaround holds up.

Hi All,

Any updates from anyone receiving your permanent residence with application date May/June? I am a Non EEA (married to an european).

I sent my application on the 06/06/16 and the payment was taken on the 07/06/16
Don't remember when exactly I received the biometrics and then the COA with date of issue 12/07/16

- It will be 6 months on the 07/12/16!!

I will call the Home Office on the 07/12/16 to check why is taking so long...Will they give any response of is pointless to contact them?

- What action can we take after the 06 months period?
- Do we need to contract a layer that will directly contact the Home Office?

Thanks,
Veronica

Noone you get through to will know the intricate details of your case.

Layer has little more traction than you do. If you have the time and resources you could threaten legal action and/or contact Solvit if you wish.

If you care to read back posts you will see how I explained you, and others in your position, may expedite your application.
Your mileage may vary but it may prove more helpful than calling and clogging up HO switchboard.

Hi, here is another one for the database:

EEA paper form sent 16/08
Cheque cashed 23/08
PR card received 16/11

I guess the application was pretty straightforward though as I'm a solicitor, so my admission date is a matter of public record.

Today is 6 months since I sent my Non EEA PR application (application sent on 06/06/16)

I called the Home Office, and they call me back on the date. Apparently even after the 6 months they are not supposed to give you any information...just incredible....

They just said that is taking time and that sometimes takes longer and that the only thing that I can do is wait, that they cannot give me any information about my speficic case

Any other Non EEA applicant from June has received the PR and passport back?

Thanks,
Veronica
