[Urgent] Can i get my passport back?

Hi,

I applied for Spouse visa under C category [DIRECTIVE/2004/38/EC]. I am living in Pakistan at the moment i want to travel as soon as possible. It's been 2 months i have submitted my documents and passport. I want to continue my case.. Don't want to withdraw since it is really urgent for me to travel outside Pakistan. My father is sick and hospitalised in Dubai. Can i get my passport back? What is an alternate way? And if i can get the passport back how long does it take Irish Consulate Karachi to send my passport on Islamabad addressed?

yes you can request it back without withdrawing your application. just email them to the normal enquiries email, mine took 2 weeks to be returned
